With A Clear vision, Our Building Journey Began June Of 2018:

Create A gorgeous Retreat With Beautiful Gardens

All Intergraded In A Simple, Family Farm.

As resources allow, farm animals will be added, gardens and so much more.

Guests will be welcome to meet our farm animals, collect fresh breakfast eggs

or just stroll the beautiful gardens.

Autumn Lane

So in trying to keep it short...

Born in Alberta, raised in Germany and in Victoria, B.C. Carmen has fond childhood memories of time spent caring for her horses, a couple of cows, chickens and more on the family hobby farm.

After living in Germany for 2o years ... where she became a kindergarten teacher, married Martin,  raised two amazing boys, thrived as a Mary Kay Sales Director and built homes with Martin on the side...  the family settled in the Okanagan in 2003.  A new chapter began for all.

Turning the pages forward to 2014, after enjoying years in the real estate industry, the question arose... "How will the next season of life look like?" Carmen's simple childhood memories sparked a fresh perspective and gave inspiration to a new vision... find a gorgeous acreage and build an idyllic B&B farmhouse for family and guests to enjoy. And so in 2018, the building journey began!

Carmen is an avid interior decorator, loves gardening and serving at her home church. She is excited about the never-ending expansion of the property.

Born & raised in a little town in the south of Germany, Martin became a master mason with a passion for European architecture and building.  The construction industry, mainly as an independent contractor, has been Martin's line of work for more than 40 years now.

Together with Carmen, he oversaw the building phase and was the hands on guy in drafting, building and finishing Autumn Lane to the one of a kind retreat that it has become.

When time allows, Martin loves to hike the many Okanagan trails, serve at his local church and read a good book.
He is eager to continue expanding the property with the creation of the many landscape and farm additions that he and Carmen have envisioned.

"Making Autumn Lane into a gorgeous retreat with beautiful gardens all intergraded in a simple, family farm ...  while hosting amazing guests... is the start of something amazingly good!"

" It has been a long journey, many hours of work and many more to come. But we are all in... and look forward to this exciting new season of life.

Without family helping us along the way, we would not be where we are today and without God's grace, this adventure would not be! "
